Julie Phillips, Founder
My name is Julie Phillips, the founder of JP Events & Design.
You could say I am a southern girl through and through. I left Charleston, SC, in 1987 after getting married and pursuing my career in Interior Design. My design business went to the next level, and I opened my first and only retail store in 2008 in Greenville, SC. I ran my business for ten years before saying goodbye to take care of both parents. I was blessed to have that extra time with them being their caretaker. It also allowed me to volunteer and give back to my community.
But in between all of that, the essential part of my life is being a mom! I have one son, and his name is Alex. He is out of college and is very successful with his current job. Yes, you can say he is the love of my life!
Chapter two, as I call it, I moved back to the Low Country from where I started. I love being back close to the ocean and enjoying our beautiful city. That is when I reinvented the wheel and went back to school for the third time, first in business, then in Interior Design, and then getting my certification in Event Planning. I completed the New York Art & Design School program in NYC. I can offer knowledge and expertise in helping anyone with an Event, whether it is your wedding, a birthday celebration, anniversary, or private dinner party; the list goes on. You can say I like diversity, and that is what keeps me with a fresh mind and enthusiasm when working with my clients. My creativity can go off the chart, along with being very organized. It is all in the detail, no matter what your event will be.
I love to walk the Ravenel Bridge, play tennis, bike, spend time at the beach whenever I can get away from work.
